Arrests made in weekend burglary in Cleburne Co.

CLEBURNE COUNTY, AR (KAIT)-  Several arrests have been made in Cleburne County where an 89-year-old woman's home was burglarized on Sunday.

According to the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office, five people have been taken into custody Monday in relation to the aggravated residential burglary. Officers arrested Tanner Adcock,19, of Heber Springs, Zackery Smith, 19, of Heber Springs and Bobby Lee Pointer, 19, of Bald Knob along with two juveniles.

The sheriff's office states around 2:19 Sunday morning at least two suspects entered the woman's home on Jones Road while she was sleeping.

The woman was awakened by a man standing over her with a gun and a mask. Two suspects tied her up and then began stealing money and other items from her home. The woman told officers she heard other people in the house other than the ones who tied her up.

After the suspects left, the homeowner freed herself and called for help.

All five suspects have been charged with aaggravated residential burglary, kidnapping and two counts of felony theft of property. The 19-year-old suspects are in the Cleburne County Jail. Meanwhile, the two juveniles will be charged as adults and are in the White River Juvenile Detention Center. 

Bond will be set at $200,000 for each suspect.
