Harding volleyball receives votes in AVCA Preseason Coaches Poll

LEXINGTON, KY (HardingSports.com) -  The Harding volleyball team received 17 votes in the 2013 AVCA Preseason Coaches Top 25 Poll released on Tuesday. The Lady Bisons were the only Great American Conference team that received votes.

HU has only been ranked in the AVCA Top 25 one time. The Lady Bisons were ranked 23rd in 2011.
 
Harding finished the 2012 season with a 28-6 record and took home the GAC regular season championship and the GAC tournament championship. HU returns five starters and 10 lettermen.
 
This season, the Lady Bisons will face three teams that were ranked in the preseason top 25. Harding will face 22nd ranked University of California at San Diego on Sept. 7, No. 7 Washburn on Sept. 21 and No. 8 Central Missouri on Oct. 12.
