Kyria Seymour of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 19, at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. A memorial fund has been created for an 11-year-old girl who died after she became trapped beneath a pipe in a water-filled ditch for 20 minutes.

(WMC-TV) - Parents are teaching their children the value of safety after the tragic death of a 9-year-old Saturday.

"I told him that we have to be careful when we go out to the park, every time that we go to a party, and when we go outside. We need to be looking for each other. Because that could happen to anyone," stated neighbor Mark Martinez.

As for the family, they are too a shaken to talk Sunday. However, they have confirmed the other two kids pulled from the pool are safe.

Originally, three children jumped in the pool at a birthday party while the adults were inside. Two were safely pulled from the pool and the third found approximately 15 minutes later. But, by then, it was to late.

The young boy passed away after 7:30 p.m. Saturday after he was found at the bottom of a family pool.
