Free health screenings meet needs of NEA community

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-  New St. John Missionary Baptist Church held its second annual Community Outreach Fair at Parker Park on Saturday.

St. John partnered with St. Bernards this year to provide health screenings and free mammograms.

The event featured various booths from local businesses. Free school supplies were also given out to kids who attended the fair.

Melody Robinson is the coordinator of the event and says it was a great way to help those in need in the community. "We noticed that there was a need especially in North Jonesboro during evangelism and like I said we just wanted to reach back out in our community and meet those needs," Robinson said.

The event was free and included food and games for the kids.
