LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas football coach Bret Bielema says he has lost his second wide receiver in as many weeks.
Bielema said Wednesday that sophomore D'Arthur Cowan broke a foot and would be out 6-8 weeks. Last week, senior Demetrius Wilson suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and faces surgery that will keep him out all season.
The Razorbacks open play Aug. 31 at home against Louisiana-Lafayette.
Cowan caught three passes for 14 yards last year but was being counted on after Wilson's injury. The Razorbacks also lost receiver Cobi Hamilton to the NFL last year and Mekale McKay transferred to Cincinnati two weeks ago.
Bielema spoke prior to an appearance at the Little Rock Touchdown Club.
