JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-  St. Bernards hosted their annual "Kids on the Mile" today at the St. Bernards auditorium.

Nearly 500 kids signed up to take part in the 2-mile run. This year's theme is "Eat, Play, Learn" and featured activities that teach kids healthy habits. The top three schools with the highest participants will be awarded a scholarship for their school.

"This is important for the community because the health of our children is so vital to the health of our entire community so St. Bernards is so scommitted to improving the health of the community," Burff said.
