A "Call2 Honor" through outreach, prayer in Northeast Arkansas

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -  A community praise and prayer rally was held in downtown Jonesboro Sunday afternoon.

Ministers, worship teams and church members from several Region 8 churches of various denominations attended the "Call2 Honor" event set up outside Life Church of Jonesboro.

Rally event founder and organizer says his 10 years as an investigator with Child Protective Services in Northeast Arkansas led him to want to help families through outreach programs and prayer. 

"We're praying for our country. We're praying for our families. We're praying for our law enforcement. We're praying for our government. So this event is about praising and then praying for the country."

Shelton says he is planning for the next "Call2 Honor" rally to be in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
