Wood County man charged in infant's death starts pretrial

WOOD COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A Wood County father accused of killing his infant son appeared in court Tuesday morning for his pretrial hearing.

Brian Steinmiller's trial date has been pushed back. Steinmiller was arraigned last month on a total of six charges, including murder, endangering children and involuntary manslaughter.

The charges stem from the death of his son, Carter, who died in May. Police say Steinmiller caused head trauma to the 3-month-old, resulting in death.

Steinmiller has pleaded not guilty. His wife, Rebecca Steinmiller, has also been charged in the case.
