Robber strikes Murfreesboro Pike convenience store

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police are searching for an armed robber who held up a convenience store late Wednesday night.

Police said the suspect entered the BP-Mapco at 601 Murfreesboro Pike about 11 p.m., approached the counter and asked for a lighter. Then the suspect pulled a silver handgun and told the clerk, "Give me everything. I'm not playing."

The clerk opened the register and gave the robber the cash.

Police said the man fled in a black car. The robber was described to be a black man about 5'6", between the age of 37 and 38, who was wearing a white v-neck T-shirt. He was skinny with tattoos. Police said he had short hair, was clean shaven and is left-handed.
