ASU legend Bill Bergey delighted NFL is settling concussion lawsuit

PHILADELPHIA (CBS Philly) — One former Philadelphia Eagle who was part of the lawsuit indicates he is delighted that the National Football League has decided to settle a players' lawsuit over medical problems they say are related to on-field concussions.

Bill Bergey, who took his share of hits during a sterling 12-year NFL career, says that age 68 he has felt no lingering effects.

Still, Bergey says, he got involved in the players' lawsuit as a matter of principle.

"It's not about the money with me, but it's about these poor people who have had so much trouble with the concussions, with the dementia," he told KYW Newsradio today.
