People searching for jobs flood the convocation center

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Employers and potential employees were connecting at the Arkansas State University Convocation Center Thursday.

The Arkansas Workforce Center teamed up with the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services to host a career expo for all of Northeast Arkansas.

Mike Gleghorn is with the Paragould Workforce center and said that as soon as the doors opened at 10 people flooded in.

"They'll be able to receive services here anywhere," said Gleghorn. "From creating a resume to having their resume critiqued. They can attend one of four workshops that gives them information about interviewing techniques, job search skills."

The expo was hosted by 99 vendors. The event was free and opened to the public.
