2 seriously injured in Ripley Co. crash

NAYLOR, MO (KAIT) - A crash involving three vehicles in Ripley County sends five to the hospital and two suffered serious injuries.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crashes happened on Missouri Highway 142 at Naylor just after 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Troopers state a truck driven by Thelma Nance of Naylor crossed the center of the road and hit a van driven by Amber Winters of Oxly head on. Then a third car hit Nance's vehicle from behind.

Nance was sent to a Poplar Bluff hospital and Winters was sent to a Memphis hospital with serious injuries. Both women were not wearing seat belts, according to the crash report.

A three and four year old in the van received minor injuries in the crash, while another man had moderate injuries.

The driver of the third car was not injured.
