Man robs Jonesboro apartment at knifepoint

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Police are in search of a man suspected of robbing a Jonesboro residence at knifepoint.

Around 3:20 a.m. Thursday, Jonesboro police were dispatched to an apartment on East Johnson Street.

According to the report, the victim was lying down in the living room when a man kicked in the door of the apartment and came at him with a knife. The suspect yelled at the victim asking him, "Where is the money?" and he pointed towards his wallet. The suspect took the wallet and began searching for more items, taking an iPad Mini, as well.

The victim's roommate entered the living room and threw a chair at the suspect. The report states that the suspect ran out the door, north on State Street.

Officers were not able to locate the suspect but retrieved a partial fingerprint and shoe prints from the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid- thirties, medium build, having a beard and around six-feet tall. He was wearing shorts and a black shirt at the scene.
