JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – The Freedom of Information Act Road Show kicked off Thursday Morning at ASU's Convocation Center.
A panel of experts spoke to audience members about the ins and outs of FOIA. Attorney General Dustin McDaniel said they first began these meetings several years ago because of the number of people requesting information on FOIA.
"We have found an overwhelming response from people who have to deal with the public's right to know. Whether that's the media or school board members, city employees or county officials and we again have a big turnout today," said McDaniel.
The next stops will be in Northwest Arkansas at Fort Smith and Fayetteville.
