JONESBORO, Ark. (AStateRedWolves.com) —The Arkansas State Red Wolves women's basketball team will begin the 12th-annual "Boyer Mile" preseason conditioning program Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 6 p.m. at the ASU running track located adjacent to the Convocation Center and Tomlinson Stadium-Kell Field.
The "Boyer Mile" will run for four consecutive weeks (weather permitting), wrapping up with a post-run party Oct. 1. Each week, the Boyer Mile will be run on Tuesday evenings.
Any A-State fan that is not a high school athlete (grades 9-12) is invited to join head coach Brian Boyer and the Red Wolves women's basketball team to participate in the four-week training program. While the Red Wolves will be running a timed mile, anyone wishing to run or walk may join the team, making the conditioning program more enjoyable for the athletes while at the same time promoting fitness in the community.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt and will be treated to a post-mile party Oct. 1. There is no cost to participate in the program.
