AVA, MO (AP) - A southern Missouri woman was given a 20-year prison sentence for her role in the death of a Missouri man who was run over with his truck.

Twenty-4-year-old Heather Bennett of West Plains was sentenced last week in the death of 29-year-old Jackie Yarber of Caulfield in October 2011. She was convicted in May of second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Investigators say Bennett and 26-year-old Daniel Baird ran over Yarber and then drove away in his truck. Yarber's body was found along a Howell County road.

KYTV-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1dYSxcX ) Baird is scheduled to go on trial in December in Phelps County, where he's charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.
