1 dead, 1 injured in White Co. crash

ROSE BUD, AR (KAIT) - One man is dead and another man was injured after a one vehicle crash in White County.

According to Arkansas State Police, Timothy Root, 36, of Augusta was killed after a crash on the afternoon of September 13. He was a passenger in a van driven by Weldon Ford of Quitman.  

Police state the crash happened on Arkansas Highway 5 heading north. As the van was going into a left hand curve, it left the road and hit a tree, according to ASP. 

Root was ejected from the vehicle. Ford was taken to a Little Rock hospital with undisclosed injuries.
