Ohio attorney general launches video contest

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has launched a video contest that will give Ohio school students a chance to win up to $2,500 in college scholarships.

DeWine says the 2013 Take Action High School Video Contest allows students to showcase their talents while promoting important messages about consumer protection.

High school students in grades nine through 12 can enter the contest. They must create and upload a 60-second video on identity theft, scholarship/grant scams, online marketplace scams or business or government impostor scams.

The deadline to submit a video is Dec. 13. Winners will be announced in March 2014.

The top three winning individuals or teams will receive college scholarships of $2,500, $1,500, and $1,000, respectively. They also may be featured on the attorney general's website.
