Bielema hopes Arkansas learns from loss to Rutgers

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas coach Bret Bielema says starting quarterback Brandon Allen remains a game-time decision this week as the Razorbacks prepare to host No. 10 Texas A&M.

Allen missed last week's loss to Rutgers with a shoulder injury he suffered a week earlier in a win over Southern Mississippi. The sophomore was replaced by junior-college transfer AJ Derby, who was 14-of-26 passing for 137 yards in the 28-24 loss to the Scarlet Knights.

Bielema says he hopes Allen is able to take part in a limited part of practice on Tuesday, and that he's willing to wait until Saturday's game against the Aggies (3-1, 1-0 Southeastern Conference) to decide whether Allen is able to play or not.

The Razorbacks (3-1) lost 58-10 to Texas A&M last season.
