Arkansas State University women's soccer player Christina Fink has been recognized as this week's College Sports Madness Sun Belt Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week the website announced Tuesday morning.
Fink helped the Red Wolves go 2-0 over the weekend with home victories over Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Murray State. The 5-5 junior midfielder scored a goal and had one assist in a 5-0 victory against the Golden Lions and also moved into second place on the school's all-time career points list with 40. She also ranks fourth on A-State's all-time career goals list with 14 and is second in career assists with 12.
Fink ranks second on the team in goals scored (4), points (10) and shots-on-goal (11), while leading the team with 30 shots. She has started in all 10 of A-State's matches this season and has two game-winning goals to her credit, a category in which she holds the school's all-time record in with seven for her career.
Fink, a College Sports Madness Preseason All-SBC First-Team selection, ranks in the top in the Sun Belt Conference in shots, shots per game, points, points per game, goals, goals per game and game-winning goals.
The Red Wolves will open Sun Belt Conference action Sunday, Sept. 29 against Arkansas-Little Soccer at the A-State Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
