Cave City man out on bond arrested again

SHARP COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A Cave City man, already out on bond on drugs and explosive-related charges, is back in jail.

According to Sheriff Mark Counts, 45-year-old Thomas King was arrested on Wednesday for a warrant issued on September 19.

Counts said that warrant stemmed from a search warrant served by the Sharp County Sheriff's Department, Arkansas Game and Fish, and the Cave City Police Department.

He's charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).

His bond was set at $50,000 dollars cash. He'll appear before a judge on November 19.

King was already out of jail on bond after his arrest in May.

According to court documents, deputies with the Independence County and Sharp County Sheriff's Office searched King's home and found several stolen items, including chainsaws and a John Deere Gator tractor.

Deputies also found electronic explosive blasting caps, syringes, tubes with burnt residue, and several guns during that search.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms was notified about the blasting caps. They confirmed that it was illegal for King to posses those items without a license.
