JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – The 33rd Annual BlessedSacrament Fall Festival kicked off this week and if you love barbecue, you'llwant to stop by on Saturday.
The church is cooking up a whopping 12,000 lbs of meat on10 grills.
It's being sold to help cover the church's operatingcosts.
The fundraiser started Thursday.
Barbecue ChairmanPreston Marthey has been a part of this fundraiser for nearly 30 years and saysthere's fun for all ages. "We'll have a carnival outhere, we'll have plate lunches, chicken lunches, sandwich lunches. We'll haveall that squared away. We'll have a carnival for the kids, a live and silentauction." Marthey said.
The church is also throwing 3,000 lbsof chicken and 100 Boston butts on the grill.
Dinner sells at $7 for adults and $5 forchildren. Kids under 6 eat free.
Blessed Sacrament is located on Church streetin Downtown Jonesboro.
