NASHVILLE, TN (AP) - Jeremy Moore hopes to make it to an NBA game this season. He got the next best thing Saturday.
Moore and his 12-year-old daughter, Zo'Riah, watched as the Memphis Grizzlies capped five days of training camp in Nashville with a practice open to the public at a local high school. Moore says the line was out the door when he arrived, and an overflow crowd of more than 1,500 packed the gymnasium at Ensworth High school.
The Grizzlies worked out for more than an hour. Mike Miller and coach David Joerger had clinics for more than 120 children Saturday morning.
Joerger says the Grizzlies were blown away by the turnout, with Vanderbilt having homecoming nearby and a football fall Saturday in Tennessee.
