JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A woman with a warrant out for failure to appear was arrested Friday night for stealing 19 items.

Jonesboro police were called out to the Walmart on Highland after an employee saw a woman steal several items.

According to the police report, when being questioned, the suspect, April Anglin, 44, told officers, "she did not see the 19 items fall into the purse."

Anglin claimed she must have dropped the items accidentally into the purse when she opened it to retrieve her credit card.

Jonesboro police saw that Anglin had a Craighead County warrant for failure to appear with a cash only bond of $610 with two days in jail.

She was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.

Anglin now faces a misdemeanor charge for shoplifting and is set to appear in court on October 7.
