Identity of woman found along roadside in Harrison Co. released

According to Harrison County Sheriff's Office, the body of a white female who was found near Interstate 20 Monday has been identified.

The victim is Lilllian Desiree Descoteau, age 51. The Texas driver's license that was issued to her listed an address in Irving, Texas, as her residence.

Until a complete ruling on the cause of death has been determined, officials are still investigating this case as a homicide.

On Monday, Descoteau's body  was discovered on an entrance ramp to Interstate 20 off of Farm to Market 450 in Hallsville. Two truck drivers traveling eastbound on Interstate 20 pulled over near FM 450 to inspect their tires. After pulling over, the drivers spotted something just off to the side of the roadway.

Upon closer inspection, they realized it was the body of a white female lying on her back with short blonde hair wearing only a light-blue pullover. Officials believe her body had only been there for a few hours.

Investigators are asking for anyone who may have had any contact with the victim, or may have seen her at any location, to please contact the Harrison County Sheriff's Office. All information will be considered confidential or information may be given anonymously to Crimestoppers at 903-935-9969.
