CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Authorities are once again searching for Christina Adkins, a Cleveland missing person from 18 years ago.

Their current search has brought the FBI and Cleveland Police to the grassy area just off I-90 E and 1-76 South, a relatively small area.

FBI and Cleveland Police held a news conference Friday morning.  Ongoing police work from a previous search brought them to the grassy area.  Investigators are pretty confident a resolution is near.

"Investigators have obviously not given up on this case.  They never have.  We do feel that we're on to something and we will have resolution before too long," said FBI spokesperson Vicki Anderson.

The family of Adkins was notified Friday morning about the new search.

Adkins went missing in January of 1995. She was last seen on West 25th Street. She was 18-years-old and five months pregnant.

Acting on a tip earlier this month cops scoured Clark Fields on the city's west side. Then in late August, officials searched a home on Vega Avenue for the body of Adkins. Both searches turned up empty.
