A-State Women's Soccer to host Pink Game; senior day this weekend

The Arkansas State Red Wolves women's soccer team will host its annual "Playing in Pink" breast cancer awareness game Friday, Oct. 18 against Western Kentucky at 1 p.m. at the A-State Soccer Complex.

Partnering with the Susan G. Komen Foundation the Red Wolves will host an afternoon full of education and support of cancer research. The team will be wearing pink shorts and socks during the match and information about breast cancer awareness will be available.

The Red Wolves will also host senior day Sunday, Oct. 20 versus Georgia State and all fans are encouraged to come out and support the A-State soccer team's outgoing senior class. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Central Baptist Church will be on handto provide free food to the fans starting at 1 p.m., while supplies last. The senior day festivities will take place after the conclusion of Sunday's match.

The A-State soccer team currently sits in fifth place in the Sun Belt Conference standings and is pace to become one of the highest goal scoring team's in school history. The Red Wolves have scored 30 goals on the season, a mark that is tied for the fourthhighest in A-State history.
