JONESBORO, Ark. (AStateRedWolves.com) – The Arkansas State baseball program will bring its fall camp to a close this weekend when the Red Wolves open play in their annual Red Wolves World Series at Tomlinson Stadium and Kell Field.
The intra-squad matchup will begin Friday (Oct. 18) with the first game scheduled to begin at 4:15 p.m., while game two will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Game three will be played on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. while game four will take place on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 4:15 p.m. Game five will take place Friday, Oct. 25 at 4:15 p.m. with game six scheduled to be played at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 26. If necessary, game seven will be played Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 4:15 p.m.
The team will be divided into two squads (Aggies and Gorillas) with the A-State head Tommy Raffo, assistant coaches Anthony Everman and Noah Sanders and pitching coach Tighe Dickinson serving as the coaching staff for both squads.
Saturday, Oct. 26 will also be family weekend at Tomlinson Stadium, which will give the parents of the ASU baseball team a chance to get a sneak peak at the 2014 squad before they take the field this spring.
The Red Wolves recently held their MLB Scout Day at Tomlinson Stadium and Kell Field where A-State players went through fielding, hitting and pitching drills in front of 15 Major League Baseball scout and representatives from the MLB Scouting Bureau.
