IZARD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Four people were arrested after a man's throat was slashed after he didn't bring drugs for the rest of the group.

The incident happened early Monday morning at a home in Oxford.

Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence says Michael Vaile, Elijah Banning, and Kalan Bradshaw were meeting up with Montgomery Rice. Lawrence says one of the men told officers that Rice was supposed to bring "posh," a synthetic drug.

When he told the group he didn't have it, Vaile allegedly cut Rice's throat in an attempt to steal the drugs.

Vaile is charged with aggravated assault. The other two men arrested were released. No word on if they'll face charges.

Rice was arrested on a probation violation after he was released from the hospital.
