Springfield police investigating weekend stabbings

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Police told CBS 3 that they are investigating a stabbing that happened early Sunday morning.

They said a 42-year-old man was stabbed in his left arm behind an apartment building on Allen Park Road.

The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m.

The victim, who police said is not being very cooperative, walked to a nearby McDonald's and authorities were called.

He was taken to Baystate Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.

Also, police are still searching for a man accused of stabbing two people during a domestic dispute early Saturday morning.

They said that 20-year-old Michael Martinez stabbed a 19-year-old male and 19-year-old female on Dorset Street a little before 3 a.m.

Both victims were taken to Baystate Medical Center with non-life-threatening stab wounds.

Police would not say what led to the domestic dispute.
