MIDWAY, AR (KAIT) – The man accused of hitting his wife with a crowbar and running from deputies was arrested early Sunday morning in Missouri.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, the search ended around 12:30 a.m. Sunday after Robert Finch, 29, was found with a gunshot wound at a home in Wright County, Missouri.

Finch was taken to a Springfield, Missouri hospital where he is in stable condition. He is being held on a Missouri Parole Violation charge and a warrant from Baxter County. Finch will eventually be extradited to Baxter County. He is facing multiple felony charges.

According to a news release, sheriff's officials said they were searching for Robert and Delores Finch. A witness told investigators Robert, 29, kicked in the front door of a home on Arkansas Highway 126 north near Midway on Oct. 21.

Officers were told Robert hit his wife, Delores, 26, in the head with a crowbar, forced her into a vehicle and left. Investigators said they did find evidence of violence in the residence.

Deputies found Delores Finch by Lake Norfork around on the morning of Oct. 21. She told police she was able to escape Robert.

Delores was taken to the Baxter Regional Medical Center for treatment and later released.

Finch's charges through the Baxter County Sheriff's Office include:

Aggravated Residential Burglary – Class Y Felony

Battery in the Second Degree – Class D Felony
Terroristic Threatening – Class D Felony
Fleeing from Officer – Class D Felony

A bench warrant states Finch's bond will be set at $250,000, according to the sheriff's office.
