Kyria Seymour of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 19, at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. A memorial fund has been created for an 11-year-old girl who died after she became trapped beneath a pipe in a water-filled ditch for 20 minutes.

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – The Red Hot Chili Cook off took place Tuesday at the Arkansas State football game against Louisiana Lafayette. Sixteen teams prepared to bring the best of the best when came to the winning chili.

"Well we've got a person who's got a secret recipe and I think there is a good chance we'll win," said Farm Credit Mid South team member Cary Matthews.

The Farm Credit Mid South team said they decided to have each member of the team cook up their best chili. After their co-workers picked the best one, it was chosen to represent them and hopefully take the win.

"We had a good time," said Matthews. "Plus everyone got to eat chili for lunch yesterday."

Lisa Graves with the SHARP team said when it comes to the chili cook off, it's all about strategy.

"We got the chili preparation, and that's a whole piece in itself," said Graves. "Our whole staff comes together and we strategize on what our team concept is going to be."

Graves said beside the excitement and fun it brings to the tailgate, raising money for breast cancer awareness is one of the best parts about the chili cook off.

"I always want to be able to support Susan G. Komen," said Graves. "It's a wonderful cause."
