Williams Baptist College Soccer Eagles fall short against Hornets

The Williams Baptist College soccer squad fell to Harris-Stowe State University by a score of 4-1 on Saturday in Walnut Ridge.

Williams fell behind early in the first period, but an equalizing goal by Matheus Allonso knotted the score at 1-1 in the first half. Allonso received a stellar passfrom Lucas Camargo and was able to slot the ball in the bottom left corner past the Hornets keeper.

The second period saw Harris-Stowe seize momentum and notch a couple of goals to put the game away. Mike Alvarado led the Hornets with two goals.

The next match for WBC is an away contest against Mid-Continent University on Tuesday, October 22nd at 2 p.m., in Mayfield, Kentucky.The next home contest is an AMC contest scheduled for November 2nd at 12 p.m., against Benedictine-Springfield.
