Man injured in stabbing at Nashville home

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A man was injured after being stabbed in a home on 23rd Avenue North on Wednesday night.

Police say a woman came to the home to visit someone but ran into another resident instead.

She was allegedly intoxicated and did not recognize the man. Police say she demanded to know who he was and why he was there.

The suspect allegedly threw a plate at the man, causing a small cut to the back of his leg. Police say the man shoved the suspect, which is when she grabbed a knife and slashed him in the forearm.

She is now facing charges of aggravated assault, aggravated criminal trespass, and resisting arrest.

The man who was stabbed was taken to the hospital for treatment.
