CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -The newly opened Whitten Farm Mootown corn maze has attracted many families in Region 8.

It's a 6-acre corn maze on Craighead County Road 768 off Hwy 49. This is the first Halloween for this family-owned corn maze.

In addition to the maze, kids have been able to enjoy a hayride, a playground, and learned how to milk a cow. There was also face painting, games, and pumpkins available for purchase.

This was the last weekend the maze will be open this season, so Whitten said they wanted to offer a little extra fun. "Normally our hours are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the afternoons, but tonight we will be having a zombie night beginning at 6:00 p.m.," said Whitten "We're going to have zombies in the corn so if you want to come out and check that out there's no telling what you'll find."

The WFMootown corn maze is named after the Whitten family who worked all summer creating this corn maze to provide entertainment for the community.

WFMootown will be open on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Whitten says they have already started planning the corn maze for next year.
