Good afternoon! We hope your day is going well and that you enjoyed your weekend.

Here are some stories of interest for you to peruse today:

1. Early Monday morning  the Knox County, Indiana, Sheriff's Department was called to an accident involving a pedestrian hit by a vehicle just north of Vincennes. The vehicle was reported to be the tour bus of country music star Jason Aldean, who released a statement about the death today.

2. The fight over renewing the nation's farm bill has centered on cuts to the $80 billion-a-year food stamp program. But there could be unintended consequences if no agreement is reached: higher milk prices.

3. Speaking of milk, today is National Chocolate Day, and we have shared some recipes here on our website for some chocolate treats that will go perfectly with an ice-cold glass of milk. Enjoy!

4. If you're pregnant and want your belly left alone – move to Pennsylvania. The state is starting to enforce a law where it's illegal to touch a pregnant woman's belly without asking her. A recent harassment incident has brought this law back to light, but the law itself has been in the books for awhile.

5. If you haven't heard of Rasberry crazy ants yet, you will. They're coming to a backyard near you. By the trillions. A single trail of the invasive South American ants first turned up near Houston in 2002. Within a year, there were hundreds of millions of them on the same site.

6. A federal judge has ruled that new abortion restrictions passed by the Texas Legislature are unconstitutional and should not take effect as planned on Tuesday. A district judge issued his decision Monday following a three-day trial over whether the state can restrict when, where and how women obtain abortions in Texas.

7. It's rather warm for an October day, and Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto says it's going to be even warmer tomorrow. However, a cold front should arrive in our area Thursday...will it bring rain? How cold will it get? Make sure to join us at 4, 5 and 6 to find out the details.

Here's the link to our livestream on KLTV.com, just in case you're not near your tv to watch us tonight at 4, 5 and 6. We'll see you soon!
