ALBEMARLE, VA (WWBT) -

Virginia State Police canceled a senior alert for a missing Albemarle County woman on Sunday.

According to the Albemarle County Sheriff's Department, the body of 75-year-old Evelyn Turner was found in a wooded area at the end of Tennis Drive, which is in the Four Seasons community.

Turner had last been seen leaving the West Park Market on Four Seasons Drive at around 9:00 Friday night.  Albemarle police told NBC12 that Turner had told a clerk she was confused and needed directions to get home.

It was believed Turner may have been suffering from dementia. Officers, along with a police blood hound, searched the area until around 1:30 a.m. Saturday and were unable to locate the missing woman.

Search efforts continued throughout the weekend until Turner was found deceased Sunday afternoon.

The sheriff's department said there are no indications of foul play at this time.
