Fredericktown man accused of digging up burial site

BISMARCK, MO (KFVS) -

A Fredericktown man faces charges after digging up a burial site in St. Francois County.

Roger Twomey dug up a burial site in a cemetery in Bismarck, Missouri, according to St. Francois Prosecutor Jerron Mahurin.

Court papers show Twomey faces a felony charge of knowingly disturb-destroy-remove- vandalize-damage a marked/unmarked burial site.

He has bonded out of the St. Francois County Jail. His court date is set for Dec. 5.

Family say they have placed a new headstone.
