Midway man charged with felonies for stealing handgun

BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A Midway man has been arrested for stealing a 9mm handgun from a residence in Gamaliel.

On October 10, the Baxter County Sheriff's office took a report that the handgun had been stolen from a home on North Brook Place in Gamaliel.

On Monday, James Tyler Patterson, 23, was arrested for stealing the gun. Patterson admitted to investigator Eric Neal he had entered the home and took the handgun.

Patterson now faces felony charges for residential burglary and theft of property.

He is currently being held in the Baxter County Detention Center, with a bond of $25,000.

Patterson is set to appear in the Baxter County Circuit Court on Thursday.
