MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A second person has been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured two people just off Mr. Joe White Avenue on the night of Monday, November 4.

Aleah Jalaan Lee, 18, was arrested on November 7 and charged with accessory after the fact to a felony in relation to the shooting incident at Jet Age on November 4.

Police spokesman Captain David Knipes said 21-year-old Davonte Javal Shepard was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm during a violent crime, and possession of Schedule 3 narcotics.

A second man, seen wearing a red cap in the surveillance photos, is still on the loose. He may be driving a white Cadillac Escalade or a white Avalanche with a brown lower trim. He's a young African-American man in his mid-twenties.

According to dispatch reports, the call for a possible shooting came in just after 10 p.m. from Orange Street, where one man who was shot at the Jet Age Cafe ran for help.

That cafe is on the corner of Mr. Joe White Avenue and Grey Street.

Capt. Knipes was on the scene and told our Reporter Monique Blair that two people were shot - one in the buttocks and the other in the chest/collar bone area.

Both victims were transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, and police say their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

If you have information on the second male suspect, contact Myrtle Beach Police at 843-918-1382, and reference case number 13-023430.
