Game start times and TV changes announced for A-State men's hoops games

JONESBORO, Ark. (AStateRedWolves.com) – The starting times for two 2013-14 Arkansas State University men's basketball games have been changed and a pair of Sun Belt Conference (SBC) contests will be televised on ESPN3 per an announcement made by the A-State Athletics Department.

Arkansas State's non-conference contest at Wyoming on Saturday, Nov. 16, will tipoff at 2 p.m. (CT).  The game was listed as TBA on A-State's schedule cards, posters, and website due to Wyoming waiting for an announcement from ESPN on the starting time of its Nov. 16 football game atBoise State.

The other start time change is the Red Wolves' home matchup with South Alabama on Saturday, Jan. 11, at A-State's Convocation Center in Jonesboro, Ark.  The conference tilt will now get underway an half hour earlier at 7 p.m. (CT) due to the game being televised on the Sun Belt Network.   The Sun Belt Network is a partnership of the Sun Belt Conference and two regional sports networks, Cox Sports Television (CST) and Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS).

A pair of A-State games has been added to the television schedule as the Red Wolves' conference home-and-home matchups with Western Kentucky will now be available to viewers via ESPN3 and possibly ESPN Full Court.  A-State visits WKU Saturday, Jan. 18, in a 7 p.m. (CT) encounter before the Hilltoppers travel to Jonesboro on Monday, Feb. 10, in a 7:05 p.m. (CT) contest.  The Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network (HSSN) will televise both games and be available nationally on ESPN3 in 72 million homes via WatchESPN.com, various smartphones and tablets and Xbox LIVE.  The A-State-WKU contests will also be available to 21 million U.S. college students and United States-based military personnel via computers connected to on-campus and on-base networks.  Those games which may be available on ESPN Full Court will be announced approximately 10-14 days before the Jan. 18 and Feb. 10 dates.

A-State fans can purchase their tickets for all 2013-14 season home contests by either calling 870-972-2781 or 888-278-3267. Tickets are also available for purchase by visiting the A-State Central Box Office, located at the lower red entrance of the Convocation Center.  Tickets may also be ordered online at www.astate.edu/tickets.

The Red Wolves, under head coach John Brady, open their regular-season schedule Monday, Nov. 11, on the road versus Jackson (Miss.) State at 7:30 p.m. (CT) before facing Tennessee-Martin Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 7:05 p.m. (CT) in their season home opener at the A-State Convocation Center.
