CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) – Police were led on a motorcycle chase ending with the discovery of drugs.
According to Caruthersville Police Chief Tony Jones, officers attempted to stop a red motorcycle at Laurant Ave. and West 15th Street around 4:15 Tuesday afternoon for no visible registration.
Jones said the driver did not stop and led police on a chase. The chased ended on the 1100 block of Adams Ave. when the driver left the road and crashed.
A meth lab was found inside the suspect's backpack, according to Jones. No specific items were mentioned in the news release.
The unnamed suspect was taken to the Pemiscot County Jail to await formal charges of manufacturing meth and felony resisting arrest along with multiple traffic violations.
