Rantankerous [ran-tank'uhr-us] (adjective) - A combination of rant [to speak in a wild or extravagant manner] and cantankerous [contentious, disagreeable]. The word is a creation of the Raycom Digital Hub staff and the only suitable description for the arguments between Brian "What We Learned" Tynes and George "Hot Reads" Jones, which until now have never been recorded.

(RNN) - I'm rubber and you're glue, but if you make fun of me too much I'll leave my job and the rest of the world will see what a jerk you are.

That probably wasn't exactly what was running through the mind of Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Jonathan Martin, but on the outside that's sure what it looks like.

The hot mess that the Dolphins' locker room has regressed into is just one of the topics we tackle this week.

Jumping subjects, whether you like or hate Northwestern's Wounded Warrior uniforms - or whether you think the pattern is a distressed flag or a bloody one - we drop some meaty tidbits about that, too.

And finally, we'll add one more horn to the raucous parade that is escorting the BCS system out of our lives.

Include your thoughts and disagreements of your own in the comments section below, and look for a new edition of Rantankerous next week.

Blake Sims was good enough to finish his first start at quarterback for Alabama, getting plenty of help from Amari Cooper, T.J. Yeldon and Derrick Henry, and the second-ranked Crimson Tide held off West Virginia...
Blake Sims took a seat on the bench next to Jake Coker after leading Alabama to a score and the two chatted for a few minutes before it was time for the offense to go back on the field.
