Tipster finds convicted sex offender, detains him until police arrive

(Toledo News Now) -

A convicted sex offender has been arrested after being featured as our recent Most Wanted Wednesday suspect.

U.S. Marshals say someone saw Ryan George in our 5 p.m. newscast and called in. The tipster held George down until Toledo police arrived.

George was convicted in 2010 of gross sexual imposition of a minor. He was wanted for failing to register as a sex offender. U.S. Marshals say George has an extensive criminal record, including auto theft, assault and burglary.
