Cowboys come to Region 8

TRUMANN, AR (KAIT)- A group of Region 8 kids learned how to be a cowboy from the experts.

Former Trumann Wildcat Taylor Morgan and Heath Sanderson recently won the USTRC Rodeo in Oklahoma City. They stopped by Cedar Park Elementary in Trumann to talk to kids about how working hard pays off and, of course, how to be a cowboy.

"They get hands on experiences with seeing the way the life of a cowboy and the things that they practice and seeing horses, some of them have never seen a horse, have never been on a horse before so it's a life experience for them," said Deann Penter, second grade teacher at Cedar Park.

Around 120 second graders got to listen to the rodeo stars speak.
