LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville man was arrested for several counts of animal abuse.

According to an arrest warrant, Antwon Rondo, 25, failed to provide food and water to more than a dozen animals, resulting in the deaths of the two of them.

Officers said when they arrived at the home on Wednesday, 11 animals were emaciated and two dead dogs were locked in crates in the garage. Because the two dogs had been dead so long, a necropsy was not possible to determine the dogs' cause of death.

Rondo had been previously charged by Metro Animal Services regarding the care of the now deceased animals.

He is charged with two counts of failure to provide provisions of necessities.
