Leeza learns how to fight back if you're being choked

Every two minutes, someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted. And one of every four women will be a victim of an attack in her lifetime. If someone wants to rape you, rob you, or kill you, choking is a common attack. Nelson Nio from Shield Self Defense gives tips on how to protect yourself.

There was a young woman in a restroom washing her hands. Then all of a sudden a guy just showed up. The young woman was unaware of any problems—she looks in the mirror, and sees a stranger. He suddenly grabs her around the throat—whispering for her to be quiet—she is terrified as he drags her out of the room.

If you're being choked, you want to lift up your arm to pin your attackers hand. The next step is to forcefully twist. Twist all the way, then drop your elbow down and catch with your other hand up. So you trap both hands and then strike the neck.

So remember if you are caught off guard and someone grabs you by the neck lift up your arm and twist as hard as you can. Catch his hands and take your elbow and slam it into his throat.
