USC's Johnson Granted Waiver From NCAA, Eligible To Play Immediately

COLUMBIA, SC -

University of South Carolina head men's basketball coach Frank Martin has announced today that junior guard Tyrone Johnson has been granted a waiver from the NCAA allowing him to compete effective immediately.

Johnson has been eligible to practice since he transferred to South Carolina from Villanova in January 2013. Johnson will be available to play in Saturday's contest versus Longwood. 

The 6-foot-3 Johnson averaged 3.3 points per game and two assists per game during the 2011-12 season at Villanova in which he started 9 games.
