(WMC-TV) - The Ole Miss community is mourning the loss of two students after news spread on campus about a deadly weekend crash.

Passengers Christopher Grimaud, 20, and Kevin Eagan, 18, died when the car they were riding in overturned at Highway 7 near University Avenue early Saturday morning.

On Monday, black ribbons lined several fraternity houses in memory of the two students that were killed. Both Grimaud and Eagan were active in the Greek community.

"We are Chris' family here," said Jake Clark, who is having a tough time dealing with the loss of his friend and fraternity brother, Chris Grimaud. "You just expect for him to walk through the door and smile and crack a joke."

But that will no longer happen.

Grimaud and fellow student Kevin Eagan were killed when police say the driver, Arthur Lueking, lost control of his car around 5 a.m. Saturday. Lueking is recovering in Memphis.

A third passenger, James Connors, was released from the hospital.

Not only is the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity dealing with loss of Grimaud, but they are consoling his older brother, who is also a member.

The Alpha Tau Omega fraternity is also coping with a tragic loss.

"Randomly it will just hit me and I'll break down every now and again," said Alex Meyer, who was friends with Kevin Eagan.

Alex Meyer knew Eagan from his hometown. Eagan was a freshman pledge and scheduled to be initiated into the brotherhood in a few months.

"Anything that he was around or anything that he touched became better because of him," said Meyer.

On Sunday night, the Greek community held a candlelight vigil to pay their respects to the victims. Both fraternities are renting buses to travel to their friends' funerals this weekend in Missouri.

It is unclear what caused the crash. The Oxford Police Department is still investigating.
