SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -

The Southeast District of the Missouri Department of Transportation is ready to go if frozen precipitation becomes an issue Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Assistant District Engineer Matt Seiler says he doesn't anticipate it being a problem because the ground temperature is too warm.

Sheriff's departments along with MoDOT crew members will be monitoring ground temperatures in all of their 25 counties in the southeast district.

MoDOT has trucks and the brine salt mixture at 39 maintenance facilities in the 25 counties in the southeast district lined up and ready to go.
